As explained above, Cannon Battle is a real-time strategy game featuring manually-fired artillery.

RACES
The Army is a near-future human race with a look based on the US military circa 1940-1975.
The Kingdom is a lost medieval race that augments its primitive catapults and trebuchets with powerful magic.
The Others are an unwelcome extraterrestrial race that specializes in beam weapons and manipulation of energy.
SETTING
Worlds and Continents
Cannon Battle takes place on three Worlds in a fantasy universe: The Army Homeworld, The Kingdom Homeworld, and The Mountain World. Each map is a Continent on one of those Worlds.
Energy Wells
Energy Wells appear in a rough diagonal grid across each Continent. Bases can only be built around these Energy Wells. Some Energy Wells will be occupied by friendly, hostile, or neutral Command Centers; others will be undeveloped. When two adjacent Energy Wells are occupied by opposing Bases, the Battle is on!

or potential Base locations. The red squares indicate Primary Bases.
Each player will begin the game at his Primary Base. The dotted

OBJECTIVE
Short-Term Goals
Use your artillery and other weapons against nearby enemy Bases, while using your Shields to defend your own Base.
Establish new Bases on vacant Energy Wells, or capture enemy Bases, in order to expand your territory and increase your available Energy supply.
Victory Conditions
Each player will have a Primary Base to protect. Destroy or capture your enemy’s Primary Base or destroy his Commander to win the game.
PACING
Though Cannon Battle can often be hectic, you will generally have plenty of time to plan your strategy - there will be often be breaks in the action while you wait for your weapons to reload. Projectiles typically take several seconds to reach their targets, providing the anticipation element crucial to any good artillery game.
TARGET AUDIENCE
All gamers ages 10 and up. Cannon Battle’s simple concept and deep strategy will be as appealing to casual gamers as it will be to veterans of RTS games such as StarCraft and Command & Conquer.
